Kindergarten Roundup this Friday
Next year’s kindergarten students will be pre-registered in Hays CISD’s Kindergarten Roundup at each of the district’s thirteen elementary schools this Friday, April 8, during school hours. Parents or guardians should bring the child’s immunization (shot) records, Social Security card, birth certificate, the family’s proof of residency and photo ID of the person registering the child. Parents must enroll their child at the school their child will attend in the fall.
Kyle offers pre-Roundup
For Kyle Elementary students, an additional Roundup opportunity is offered this Thursday, April 7, from 5-7 p.m.
Kyser Relay team sale Saturday
The Mel Kyser Relay for Life Team is sponsoring a garage sale at Barton Middle School from 7:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. this Saturday, April 9, and the group is still asking for donations of saleable items. Chapa 5K this Saturday
The fifth annual Chapa 5K Challenge is ready to run this Saturday, April 9, with a race start time of 9 a.m. Fees are $5 for elementary students, $10 for middle and high school students, and $15 for 18 and over. Three school levels and 10 age levels are offered and 1-2-3 awards will be given in each. An alternate activity, Zumba, is offered for $5. Register online at http://hayscisd.revtrak.net/. Members of the Hays High School Cheer Squad have scheduled a fund-raising garage sale this Saturday, April 9, 7 a.m.-3 p.m., in front of Hays High School.
Chapa neighbors help neighbors Saturday
Neighbors helping Neighbors, the Chapa Middle School free store, will be open this Saturday, April 9, from approximately 11 a.m.-3 p.m. The store, designed simply “to help support the community,” features all sizes of clothes and shoes, bags, toys, pots and pans, decorations, and some furniture and appliances. It is located in the portable buildings beside the Chapa main building.
Hays Project Graduation hosts Bazaar
Hays High School Project Graduation is seeking local businesses to participate in their Spring Bazaar Friday, May 6, 5-8 p.m. Tables rent for $25 until Saturday, April 30, and then $35 until the show.
