This has been a busy week for students at Carpenter Hill Elementary School, as well as other schools in our district, as they prepared for Earth Day. This week the Carpenter Hill Colts had a Recycled Art Project Contest, Nike Re-use a Shoe, Waste Free Wednesday and they decorated 640 paper bags with Earth Day messages and returned them to HEB for distribution to shoppers. The paper bags represented the total number of students enrolled at Carpenter Hill.

Many thanks to Buda HEB for the sack contribution, to the shoppers who are putting the sacks to good use and most of all to the students of Carpenter Hill who remind us to “go green” Friday, Earth Day, and continue every day.
