Check It Out
by BOB WHITE
The Kyle Public Library strives to provide outstanding customer service. As a new service to our patrons, we now can let you know in advance when your library materials will be due. If you have an email address on file with the library, a notice will be emailed to you three days prior to an item’s due date. This will give you a “heads up” so that you may renew or return the item(s) in a timely manner to avoid fines.
Our patrons also now have the option of receiving the library’s monthly newsletter via email. The newsletter contains information about various programs and events taking place at the library each month.
If you are interested in receiving the newsletter through email and/or receiving advance notification when items are due, please drop by the library and sign up at the front desk. You may also give us a call at 512-268-7411 or send an email to: [email protected] .
Finally, we are about to begin a bulk mailing of “overdue” letters to our patrons. If you have materials that are more than two weeks overdue, an “overdue” notice will be mailed to you. If you receive one of these letters, please remember that our main goal is to have materials returned so that other patrons may enjoy them – not to collect fines.
If you have any questions about these expanded services, please feel free to ask the friendly staff at the Kyle Public Library. We would be glad to help you learn more about the many services we offer.
