Hays CISD closes for holidays
All Hays CISD campuses and offices close at normal times this Friday afternoon, Dec. 16, for winter holiday. Teachers and staff members will return Tuesday, Jan. 3, for staff development and all offices open and students return to classes at regular hours Wednesday, Jan. 4.
CRES Closet re-opens in January
The Camino Real Elementary School Clothes Closet re-opens Wednesday, Jan. 14, 4:30-6 p.m. The site’s spring calendar includes the Wednesday afternoons of Jan. 25, Feb. 8 and 22, March 7 and 21, and April 11 and 25. The Closet provides students with as many as three tops, three bottoms, a jacket (if available), new socks and underwear and, if needed, a pair of shoes. Students may receive a clothes voucher from their teacher, the school nurse or any CRES staffer. Walk-ins are welcomed, but families are limited to one visit a month. Adult and toddler clothes are available, but limited in quantity. Donations of gently used clothes and new socks or underwear are greatly appreciated. Corrected contact for cheer sponsors
In last week’s edition, we brought word about the Lehman High School Cheer team qualifying to go to Nationals in Florida this coming February and mentioned the fact that the team is seeking sponsors to help with expenses.
