Market Days is a great place to bring the family outside for local shopping and free live music under the shady oaks of Kyle’s historic City Square Park. It takes place on the first Saturday of each month from April through November, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This Saturday, July 2, Charles Thibodeaux and the Cajun Aces will play at 9 a.m. and Blake & Fallon come on at noon.

The Kyle Independence Day Celebration Fireworks Show has moved to the southwest corner of Kyle Parkway and Kohler’s Crossing. Please note that there will be no viewing from the Plum Creek Golf Course and the Plum Creek Golf Course Parking Lot will be closed to ALL vehicles. People are warned not to cross any fences or trespass on private property. Before it gets dark on July 4, find a safe and secure location around the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center (PAC) or anywhere around the intersection of Kyle Parkway and Kohler’s Crossing.
The show can also be seen from the parking lots around H-E-B Plus, Subway, What-A-Burger and Kohl’s. Please use extreme caution in parking on the streets’ right of ways and be aware that no alcohol is permitted at the PAC or on HCISD property.

Join your Kyle Parks and Recreation Department for our first ever Dive In Movie starting just after dark on July 29. Bring a tube or small float, or a chair and sit back in the serene setting of our Kyle Pool to watch “Despicable Me.” The pool’s maximum occupancy will be enforced, so get there early to get in. No food or drink is allowed in the facility. Concessions will be available.
As always, additional information can be found at www.kylepard.com.
