Hays CISD campuses closed July 4-15
Hays CISD campus offices will be closed for summer break Monday, July 4 through Friday, July 15, reopening at regular summer hours Monday, July 18. Central Office will be closed for the 4th of July, but will maintain regular summer hours otherwise. Parents of students continuing in the district are encouraged to take advantage of the new online registration, available this Friday, July 1. New students may also download enrollment forms at the district website, http://hayscisd.net.


Pre-kinder registration set
Registration has been set for Hays CISD Pre-K, the half-day school available to children who will be four years old on or before September 1, 2011. Registration is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, July 26-27, 8 a.m.-3 p.m., and Thursday, July 28, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., at Simon Middle School, 3839 East FM 150. Eligibility is determined by either free or reduced lunch, limited English proficiency, a parent on active military duty, homeless or foster care status.


Items required at registration include a birth certificate, Social Security card, proof of address (utility bill, lease, or home closing papers), immunization record, proof of income (pay stubs, food stamp eligibility or TANF benefits letter), identification of parent enrolling child, military orders or foster care letter (if either is applicable). Mini Cheer Camp coming
Here’s another reminder that Lehman High School hosts its Lehman Lobo Mini Cheer Camp July 26-29, from 8 a.m.to noon each morning. Registration is for students in kindergarten through eighth grade and cost is $50 per participant. A performance for parents will be held at 12:30 p.m. on the camp’s final day and campers will earn the right to perform at a Lobo varsity game. Chapa M.S. Cougar Camp Scheduled
Chapa Middle School’s sixth annual Cougar Camp for incoming sixth-graders is set for the morning of Friday, August 5. The award-winning Chapa staff and Cougar upper classmen traditionally help the incoming class learn the “ins and outs” of middle school life, offering critical information about the structure of the day, the layout of the campus, school pride, available activities and handbook details.
