Laurie Daniels, a longtime resident of Wimberley, passed away July 2 at age 81. She was born March 14, 1930 in Hawkesbury, Ontario.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Daniels.
She is survived by her son Rick Riel and partner Stacy Presley, daughter Francine Wendel and husband Ron, grandchildren, Bruce Jr., Brad and wife Julie, Kelli and husband Brian, Christina and husband Chad, Michael and Briana, and 11 great- grandchildren.
Laurie was a retired nurse and was a charter member of the Kyle/Buda VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 12058 in Kyle, TX. She loved her dog “Yogi” and watching the birds in her yard gave her hours of enjoyment.
Laurie touched lives everywhere she went and always made an impression. She was very strong-willed and outspoken, and if you were one of the people she chose to be in her life, you were blessed.
Recitation of the rosary and viewing was June 5 at Harrell Funeral Home in Kyle. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wimberley. The family will receive friends immediately following the burial at St. Mary’s.
