Lucile L. Johnson, a longtime resident of Manchaca, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at age 97.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Leonard G. Johnson and her brothers and sister.
She is survived by son, Harold L. Johnson and grandsons, Curtiz Reid Johnson, James Lyle Johnson and Alexander Abbott-George Johnson.
Lucile loved sewing, textiles and bridge. She was an inveterate shopper. Starting in high school, she was always doing artistic projects. Married to a military officer, Lucile traveled to wherever her husband was stationed. She loved to have her grandchildren visit and loved to tend to her irises and roses. She enjoyed her helpful and friendly neighbors of many years. Lucile and her husband were members of the Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 3, at Harrell Funeral Home with burial at Live Oak Cemetery.
