I love books. I love the feel, the smell, the slight crackling sounds of the binding in your hands. But, most of all, I love the journey that each book offers, which is why I’ve embraced electronic books, or e-books, into my life.
You’re probably reading this article because you, too, are a reader and a lover of books. But, maybe you’re a bit apprehensive about reading on an electronic device. After all, where’s that touch, that smell, those subtle sounds... that couldn’t possibly be like reading a real book, could it? Okay, no, it’s not exactly. But there are some other advantages that make this a wonderful new addition to your reading habits.
How about the fact that you can carry around several books in one small package, or that you can have a mixture of standard books to read and audio books to listen to, or that any book can be large print because you can actually change the font size to your own personal preference. Now, consider that, instead of buying these books, you could check them out from the Buda Public Library, just like traditional books, from the comfort of your own home.
Come by the library and find out how you can start checking out e-books, audio books, music, and even video from a selection of nearly 1,500 titles right on your laptop, smart phone, tablet, or e-reader device. There really is a whole new experience waiting for you, courtesy of your own Buda Public Library.
