Buda’s own ‘Wiener Wolf’

Check it out

by KATHY LUCKETT

Don’t you love listening to an author read his/her own words?   Writers know exactly where the emphasis should be and how to make us listen on the edge of our seats.

Join us at the Buda Library for a howling good time as author/illustrator Jeff Crosby shares his latest book, “Wiener Wolf,” Saturday, August 6 at 11 a.m. Crosby will thrill audiences, both young and old, as he reads a delightful story about a little dachshund that dreams of running wild with the wolves. Following the story time, hang around for autographs and questions. At noon, local Boy Scouts will serve us a yummy (free!) hot dog lunch to continue our wiener dog theme.

And don’t forget to turn in your summer reading logs on August 6 when you come to the library!  Our awards ceremonies will be terrific celebrations. Kids Reading Club Awards Thursday, August 11, 6:30 p.m. in the Kunkel Room at Buda Elementary and Teen Awards & Game Night Friday August, 12th, 5 p.m. at the Library. We can’t wait to hand you an award for your awesome page-turning summer and give out the awards for the Essay Contest for Young Writers as well.
