Juneteenth celebration and cookoff (June 17)
From fajitas to a kids-only pork chop contest, there’s something for everyone. This three-day event will also host a charity BBQ, and bean and cobbler contest. Festivities begin 6:30 p.m. at San Marcos Plaza Park.


Camp Ben McCulloch 115th Annual Reunion (June 17)
Everyone’s invited to this 8 day camping excursion that will include a Civil War battle re-enactment, fiddler’s contest and plenty of other old-fashioned fun.


Anything Goes (June 17)
A hodge-podge of characters sailing from New York to England are all involved in a series of happenings that will leave you laughing in this musical comedy performed by the Wimberley Players. The show runs Friday, 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, 2:30 and 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, 2:30 p.m.


Movies in the Park (June 17)
“How to Train Your Dragon” will be playing at Gregg-Clarke Park in Kyle at 8:30 p.m. “Shrek Forever After” will be playing at Buda’s City Park at 9 p.m. Both shows are free.
