Interstate 35 lanes in Buda will be closed two nights this week for construction of an overpass at Hillside Terrace Drive.
The southbound interstate will be reduced to one lane at Hillside Terrace from 9 p.m. Wednesday until 5 a.m. Thursday. Crews will need the closures to remove an overhanging barrier from the bridge. The northbound interstate will be reduced to one lane at Hillside Terrace from 9 p.m. Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday for the same purpose.
The closures are associated with Hays County’s and TxDOT’s $6-million project to build a new three-lane bridge over the interstate at Hillside Terrace Dr. and Robert S. Light Blvd. Construction is expected to be completed by late July.
