Memorial fund help asked
Wallace Middle School custodian Albert Cardenas and his wife Connie lost their 29-year-old daughter, Maria Guadalupe Cardenas, to a long battle with cancer recently. Friends of Mr. Cardenas and his family may make contributions to a fund established to help defray funeral expenses. Contributions may be directed to A+ Federal Credit Union Account 33717-12. Checks should be made out to either Albert or Connie Cardenas, noting the account number and “memorial.” Contributions may be made in person at any A+ branch or mailed to A+ Federal Credit Union, P.O. Box 14867, Austin, TX 78761.
HCISD campuses closed through July 15
Hays CISD campus offices will remain closed for summer break through Friday, July 15, reopening at regular summer hours Monday, July 18. Central Office is maintaining regular summer hours. Parents of continuing students in the district are encouraged to take advantage of the new online registration, now available. New students may download enrollment forms at the district website, http://hayscisd.net.
Academy seeks chairs
Live Oak Academy Principal Julie Ruisinger has recently put out a call for “gently used chairs” for the campus common area. She indicates pick-up may be available. If you’ve got some chairs you could part with and you’d like to contact Ruisinger to talk about it, write her at [email protected].
