Santa’s on his way to Kyle

It’s time once again, for Jolly ol’ Saint Nick to come roaring into town courtesy of the Kyle Fire Department. Santa begins his tour on a bright red fire truck at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, sirens announcing his arrival as he scatters candy canes for local children throughout the city.


Santa will arrive at City Square Park at 4:30 p.m. to join the community as school choirs perform their holiday numbers at the gazebo.


Schedule of performances:


4:40 p.m., Negley Elementary
4:55 p.m., Kyle Elementary
5:10 p.m., Tobias Elementary
5:25 p.m., Blanco Vista Elementary
5:40 p.m., Hemphill Elementary
5:55 p.m., Science Hall Elementary


At 6:05 p.m. Santa and Mayor Johnson will flip the switch and light the 2011 Kyle Christmas Tree.


6:15 p.m., Fuentes Elementary
6:30 p.m., Barton Middle School
6:50 p.m., Wallace Middle School
7:10 p.m., Simon Middle School
7:30 p.m., Dahlstrom Middle School
7:50 p.m., Chapa Middle School
8:10 p.m., Hays High School
8:30 p.m., Lehman High School


There will be food and drinks and lots of children’s activities. Santa will stick around and pose for pictures, so bring your camera and ring in the holiday season with your friends and neighbors.
