Hays CISD superintendent gets renewed contract
Hays CISD trustees unanimously approved a five-year contract with Superintendent Jeremy Lyon at a special meeting April 25.
Under the agreement, Lyon will make $187,096 a year with an automatic four percent raise each year through the 2015-2016 school year. He also gets a $100 a month cell phone allowance and a $333 vehicle allowance.
Lyon was named superintendent in January 2009 to replace superintendent Kirk London, who retired later that year. Lyon previously was superintendent of the Hillsboro school district in Oregon.
