Intangibles: Lehman had big expectations going into its season opener last year against private school Austin-St. Michael’s, but the Crusaders snuck up on the Lobos in a 35-13 win. St. Michael’s went on to lose in the state semifinals, so the Lobos should be ready for a tough challenge again Friday night. Lehman coaches and players are predicting this will be the best season yet for the Lobos, with a run at the playoffs on the horizon. That winning attitude and confidence will need to carry over into Friday night and the rest of the non-district season if Lehman wants to prove to its district foes it’s ready for a postseason push.
Free Press Prediction: Lehman 20, St. Michael’s 14
