Hays County firefighters and law-enforcement officers are still assisting in fighting the fire in Dripping Springs from the Hays side of the county line near Hamilton Pool Road.
More heavy equipment has been requested and is en route this morning to assist. Low winds are helping, but low humidity is still a concern and Hays County residents in the area are urged to remain aware of what is going on via the Hays Free Press and the Hays County website, www.co.hays.tx.us.
As of 9 a.m. Tuesday there are no shelters open in Hays County and no evacuations.
