A Chapa Middle School teacher caught students forwarding a pornographic image to other students using their cell phones Monday morning, officials say.
The teacher reported the incident at about 11:30 a.m. to the Hays County Sheriff’s Office, which labeled the call as a “possession of child pornography.”
The incident involved two students who were passing around an image of male genitalia. It’s still undetermined whether the image is of an adult or child, a sheriff’s office spokesperson said Tuesday.
The phones were seized as part of the investigation, said the official, who didn’t release the age or gender of the students.
