Wade Jordan Dickens, age 4, of Buda, courageously ended his long 11-month battle with brain stem cancer and welcomed the Lord’s hand into Heaven on Thursday, June 23, 2011. He was surrounded by his parents, grandparents, Chaplain Jo Jensen and close friends at Hospice Austin’s Christopher House. Hallelujah! Our precious baby boy is no longer in pain.
Wade was born to Michael and Wendy Dickens on February 28, 2007.
He is survived by his parents, his twin brother Wyatt; his grandparents; Albert and Carol Beth Moeller of Luling and David and Peggy Dickens of Buda.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the medical professionals who cared for Wade during his journey. Special thanks to Dr. Timothy George, Dr. Virginia Harrod and Dr. Anna Lincoln.
A celebration of his life was held Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Harrell Funeral Home and graveside services followed at Live Oak Cemetery. We know that it will make Wade smile if you make a donation to Make-A-Wish Foundation in his honor. They gave him some of the most memorable moments of his short life.
