Opal Rae Briscoe, 86, formerly of Buda, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2011. Opal was born on October 4, 1925. She had been a Buda resident for more than 20 years before moving to a nursing home a few years ago.
She is survived by four daughters, Bettye Mickolas of Bandera, Etta Langford of Georgetown, Patricia “Ticks” Larson of Buda and Donna Kutch of Gladewater; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 7 great, great grandchildren, and one on the way.
A celebration of Opal’s life will be held on Sunday, October 23 at 3 p.m. at 220 North Austin Street in Buda.
