Hays Co. commissioner Ingalsbe elected president of association

SUBMITTED REPORT

Hays County Pct 1 Commissioner Debbie Gonzales Ingalsbe was recently elected president of the County Judges and Commissioners Association of Texas, a statewide organization with more than 1,200 active members.

Several hundred county officials and guests from across the state honored Ingalsbe as she took her oath of office at the association’s annual conference in Odessa.

The association promotes the interests of county government through continuing education and active participation in governmental affairs, particularly the Texas Legislature.

“The people of Texas and the members of the CJCAT will be well-served by the leadership provided by Commissioner Ingalsbe and the other officers,” said Jim Allison, general counsel to the County Judges and Commissioners Association. “We look forward to a successful year for the organization.”

As president of the association’s executive board, Ingalsbe will keep apprised of legislative proposals and interim studies that will affect county government and services.
