In celebration of the Veteran’s Day 2011, San Marcos Mayor Daniel Guerrero designated “Army Day” in San Marcos and read a Proclamation expressing the appreciation of the young men and women that were taking the Commemorative Oath of Enlistment given by LTC David A. Grant, Battalion Commander, Recruiting Battalion San Antonio. Forty young men and women from San Marcos, Gary Job Corps, Buda, Kyle, Lockhart, Luling, Bastrop, New Braunfels, and local Central Texas Cites stood at attention receiving the Oath of Enlistment and listening to presentations by Lonnie Hall, LTC Grant, Capt.
