Do-nothing who?

Do-nothing congress? Really? You do know that the jobs bill failed in the Senate too right. You do realize the Senate is controlled by the Democrats. These seem to be facts you omit because you are too busy blaming the Republicans. Speaking of do-nothing congress, if you want to know who the actual do nothing members are look no further than the Democrat controlled Senate. The Democrat controlled Senate has not passed a budget in over 900 days. There are currently 25 House passed bills that are stuck in the Senate that pertain to helping the burdens of job creation that small business owners face. These bills have to do with government over-regulation and controlling the EPA, restarting drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, fixing the over complicated tax codes, etc.

The Obama jobs bills had no chance of passing in either chamber of congress. Obama knew that, which is why he went around the country trying to talk it up. If his bill could stand on the merits of its content there is no reason for the President to have to travel the county trying to get support for it.

In regards to your story about Evie Garza and her want to pass the Obama Jobs bill, you might actually want to read a little about what the members of congress have done recently to help returning and retiring soldiers. The Veterans Opportunity to Work Act which originated in the evil, lazy, do-nothing (sarcasm) Republican controlled House was passed in October and was eventually signed by the President. The VOW overhauls the military’s Transition Assistance Program, creating a job retraining program for older veterans who have been unemployed for 26 weeks or more. The bill helps returning soldiers find jobs and aims to greatly reduce the 11.7% unemployment rates for the Iraq and Afghanistan veterans. Before pointing fingers at the Republican Party for partisanship maybe you should look at the facts first.
