Conrado Ramon Lira, 50, of Kyle passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Hays Seton Medical Center in Kyle.
Ramon was born on November 28, 1960, in Allende Coahuila, Mexico to Barbarita Salinas Lira and Felipe Lira.
He was a lead man for Hays County road works for many years and was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Kyle. He loved to spend time with his family and go fishing, eat candy, tell jokes and stories; every time he said hello to someone he would always remove his hat. One of the things he taught his children is if they ever had a problem, the way not to think of it was to sing it off..., he loved to sing... he was very generous and helped everyone known and unknown! He will be greatly be missed by everyone.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Gregoria Lira of Kyle, children, Barbara Cisneros and her husband Salvador of Kyle, Jorge Lira and his wife Marinitza of Kyle and Ramon Antonio Lira of Kyle; parents, Felipe and Barbarita Salinas; brothers, Felipe Lira, Heliodora Lira, Antonio Lira, Pablo Lira, Guadalupe Lira Hernandez and Juanita Lira Rodriguez
A gathering of friends and family will take place from noon until 6 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Thomason Funeral Home in San Marcos. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m., May 26, 2011, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Kyle. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2011, at St. Anthony Catholic Church with burial to follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Martindale, Texas.
