Awarded an early childhood reading grant from Target Stores, Kyle Public Library began a series of bilingual storytimes the first of October which will run through December 17. The library is also planning spring and summer sessions with dates to be announced later.
The Target grant enables the library to expand its story time offerings, enhance the children’s collection with additional bilingual books and provide staff members with additional training in early literacy programming. Added benefits of the grant are the additional educational manipulatives, interactive educational materials and story props that will extend the literacy and learning experiences for young children.
Bilingual storytimes are Saturdays at noon, from now through December 17 for children age two through five.
