A Buda man was arrested last week on charges that he allegedly possessed several pornographic images and videos of a teenage girl with which he was intimate, authorities say.
Russell Evans Carver, 52, admitted to police that he had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl, which also involved the exchange of pornographic imagery via the internet from February 2010 to May 2010, according to an affidavit used to secure an arrest warrant.
On Monday, Carver was released to the custody of Houston police. He is charged with sexual performance by a child, a second-degree felony; online solicitation of a minor, a third-degree felony; and possession of child pornography, a third-degree felony, all out of Harris County. His bonds total an amount of $60,000.
Houston police were tipped off when Carver showed an individual, who later informed police, an image of the girl with a bow around her naked chest, says the affidavit by Houston police officer John Barnes. Police seized computers and cell phones from Carver’s residence.
Court records show a current address for Carver at the 12000 block of FM 967 in Buda.
When interviewed, Carver told police that he met the girl online and had intercourse with her two times several months before in Michigan. He also used Skype software to talk to her via the internet on his computer, he told police, and confessed to having nude photos of the girl.
Barnes said he observed more than 40 nude images of the girl and several videos of the girl having sex with her then-boyfriend.
