What a week we have had in this part of Central Texas. So many fires, so many homes lost, so many people needing help. Almost everyone knows of someone who has been affected by the many wildfires. Send your help to those in need and pray for all.

Good news! Gunner Thames has been moved closer to home. He is now at Texas Neuro Rehabilitation Center on Dittmar Road in Austin. He remains in stable condition and continues to be in the prayers of his relatives and many, many friends in the Buda area.
Tons of folks enjoyed the “rodeo” at Vicente Sandoval last Sunday. Even with wind, dust and heat all had a good time.

Proceeds from the casserole sale will benefit the senior center building fund.

Tom Hagan, Director of the Central Texas Children’s Home, will be the featured speaker at this month’s Buda Chamber of Commerce meeting Wednesday, Sept. 14. The meeting starts at noon at 401 RR 967 in Buda at Good Shepherd Church.

“Medicare & You” is the topic for a senior forum Thursday, Sept. 15 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Ministries, 401 RR 967 in Buda. A panel of experts will be on hand to answer questions as well as provide information concerning what Medicare pays. Comfort Connection and the Onion Creek Senior Citizens will host the free forum.
