If you are interested in having a hand in the shaping of the future of Buda, plan to attend the Comprehensive Plan Workshop on Thursday, March 10, at Buda Elementary School, upper campus. The City of Buda workshop will start at 6:30 p.m.

The big event for the Onion Creek Senior Citizens in Buda is the annual membership meeting, live auction and lunch on Thursday, March 10th. The meeting starts at 9:30 a.m. The fun begins with a live auction at 10:30 a.m. Some of the many items in the auction are: queen size quilts, baby quilts, antique glassware, pottery, art, gift certificates, home baked cakes and pies. A beef and chicken fajita lunch will be served at 12:15 for a cost of $8 per plate. All proceeds will benefit the building fund for the new senior center. Come out and support the senior population of Buda.

Pastor Teresa Welborn of the Buda United Methodist Church will be appointed in June as the Clergy Development Director for the Southwest Texas Conference. It is a new position in the conference office and Teresa, along with husband Paul and daughter Clare, will leave Buda to make their new home in San Antonio.

Giggle and Grow Educare is a new pre-school and pre-k offering care for children ages 18 months to five years. Opening soon at 606 North Main Street in Buda, owner and director, Susan Lee, is looking forward to getting to know the Buda community.

Randal Grizzle will turn the big 4-0 on March 3, and his good friend Carlos Zapata will be 40 on March 5. As a long-standing tradition with them since their middle school days, they will get together for a birthday celebration sometime in the next few days along with their families.
