Ann Gillespie, aka “Tilla”, 73, a longtime resident of Kyle passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011 in Kyle. She was born in Freer, Texas on May 7, 1938. In March of 1963 she married the love of her life, Fred Gillespie, of El Paso, who passed away July 27, 2011 at the age of 73, after 48 years of marriage.
Ann is survived by her daughters, Marcia Mae Thurmond of Austin and Ruthie Timberlake of Jourdanton, Texas; son, Jayce Gillespie of San Marcos; four grandchildren, Christy Miller, Jake Milam, Clayton Milam and Jody Dvorak; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Joe Thurmond. Ann is preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Thurmond.
Graveside Services were held at Resthaven Cemetery in Kingsville, Texas on Friday, October 28, 2011.
