Empty Bowl Project (Dec. 1)
Hays High School Art Club hosts this charity benefiting the Hays County Food Bank and St. Vincent de Paul. Students and faculty have hand-thrown and glazed one-of-a-kind art bowls and for $10 they will fill one with yummy soup or pasta and you get to keep the piece of art. Hays High School Cafeteria, 6 p.m.
Budafest (Dec. 3–4)
Budafest kicks off Saturday morning with a parade downtown starting at 10 a.m. This two-day event will feature artisans and vendors from all over Central Texas. There will also be plenty of live music, food and festivities for the whole family.
Lobo Mariachi Winter Concert and fundraiser (Dec. 6)
Mariachi musicians from Simon, Wallace, Chapa middle schools and Lehman High School will perform at this fundraiser for the Lehman Mariachis. A crispy taco dinner with rice, beans and drink for $4 will be served. Treats from the Sweet Shop will also be available.
