Bigger & better Boo-da

Buda Bits

by SANDRA GRIZZLE

Bigger and better than ever before, that describes the Boo-da Halloween event held last week. Hundreds and hundreds of children and parents walked the streets of downtown Buda filling their bags with goodies given out by the area businesses. A big “thank you” goes out to all the local merchants and city officials for providing safe, fun activities for our kids.

The Buda/Mountain City Moms Club held their annual Halloween Party in the garden area next to Old Main Street Station on Thursday evening. The moms, as well as a few dads, enjoyed a dinner meal with their very cute costumed children. The fun continued as the kids visited the Buda Library and did their trick-or-treating with the Buda merchants on Main Street.

A new baby girl is at home in Buda. Annie Jean Lincoln was born Friday, October 28, 2011, weighing a healthy eight pounds, 13 ounces and measuring 20.5 inches long. Annie is the daughter of Dr. Anna and Dan Lincoln and little sister to Wiley, Daniel and Georgia. Grandparents are Wiley and Carol McManus of Buda and Dennis and Deborah Lincoln of Michigan. Mom, baby and all the family are doing great.
