The Lehman High School Criminal Justice Team is in full competition gear for the year, having returned from a recent meet that qualified all eight of its members for the state level of competition later this month at Texas State University. Sponsored by Erica Williamson, the full team includes Jazmine Rodriguez, Jose Vargas, Matt Robledo, Frankie DeLeon, Elroy Trevino, Evan Flores, Jose Mata and Helene Jara.
Highlighting the qualifying meet action were four event first place finishes for the Lobos, those going to DeLeon in Obstacle Course-Male, Rodriguez in Fingerprinting, Mata in Fire Fighting Halyard Skill, and Mata in Fire Fighting Donut Roll Skill.
Additionally, the team took a trio of seconds, including SWAT Extraction (Rodriguez, Robledo, Jara, Vargas, Trevino, Flores), Fire Fighting Halyard Skill for DeLeon, and Fire Fighting Donut Roll Skill for Vargas. Five more events scored thirds for the team, including Robledo and Flores in Felony Traffic Stop, DeLeon in Foot Pursuit, Robledo and Trevino in Building Search, Jara and Rodriguez in Criminal Case Analysis, and Trevino in Opening Statement.
