Hays CISD is currently offering online registration to all of its returning students for the 2011-2012 school year. The system is designed to assist parents by eliminating the traditionally time-consuming effort of filling out multiple pages of various forms at their students’ campuses.
Once signed into the system, parents will be able to view their students’ information, add additional emergency contacts and information relating to health conditions and allergies. They will be able to electronically sign the forms needed for student confidentiality, receipt of the student handbook, and other back-to-school forms.
In a public release, the district indicates the process “will not eliminate all paperwork, (but) it will definitely quicken the registration process for parents.”
Online registration is available now. All parents pre-registering through the system will receive a “FASTPASS” to quickly move through the paperwork tables at their designated campuses on back-to-school day or night. For parents needing computer access, school computer labs will be available to the public during regular campus hours starting August 1. The labs will offer special assistance on Thursday, August 4, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Friday, August 5, 7 a.m.-4 p.m.
To begin the online registration process, parents should visit the district’s website homepage at www.hayscisd.net/ and click on the red box titled “Student Registration.” The district has established an email help address at [email protected].
