Check It Out

Are you looking for an adventure book? Or maybe you’re a huge cat fan? Then come to the Buda Library and check out the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. Both children and adults enjoy this series. There are five series about a group of adventurous warrior cats. The series includes Warriors, New Prophecy, Power of Three, Omen of the Stars, Manga, and the Super Edition series. I recommend you start on the Warriors series and go from there. You will be intrigued by how interesting the author can make a common house cat seem.
To start you off, I’ll give you a brief summary of Warriors #1: “Into the Wild.” Rusty the house cat leaves his comfortable life of a pet to live his dream and become a warrior in one of the four Clans of wild cats, the ThunderClan. But the terrible ShadowClan has a dangerous leader, and noble warriors are dying. As Rusty learns what it’s like to be a warrior, the threat from ShadowClan grows even stronger.
A lot of people I know are reading this series, and they love it. Most of the books are probably appropriate for age nine and up. I promise this series will keep you in suspense and you will keep turning the pages. It is that good. So what are you waiting for? Come on down to the Buda Public Library to check it out.
