Seven Lehman girls competed Friday at the Girls State Power Lifting Championships in Corpus Christi. Five finished in the top six in their weight category, and four girls came home with medals. Michaela Castillo (above) finished runner-up in state, Shelbi Snyder and Adrieana Martinez finished fourth, Sheila Martinez was fifth, and Shannon Pickett placed sixth. Alyssa Gaitan and Kat Mohle also competed at state for the Lobos. The Lehman girls are coached by Trey Rose. Lehman’s Jon Frasier, Brandon Alford and Kenny Higgins will compete at the Boys State Power Lifting Championships on Saturday in Abilene.
