It’s the most wonderful time of the year at Tobias Elementary School.
Tobias Elementary students and their families found out just what the spirit of giving means last Thursday. Wearing their pajamas, everyone was all smiles whether riding an actual “steam” train in the brisk climate, playing Gingerbread Bingo inside a genuine gingerbread house, or making handprint reindeer.
The Tobias gym was packed with small and big kids alike rocking around the tree or participating in the Pillow Case Chase. Cocoa and cookies provided a much needed burst of energy to complete the evening of fun which included listening to the Caldecott Medal winning story, “The Polar Express” by Chris Van Allsburg.
Santa listened attentively to everyone’s wishes for this holiday season and just in case something was forgotten, Santa letters were written on festive stationary. The letters will be mailed through Macy’s Department Store. For each letter Macy’s receives, $1 will be donated to Make A Wish Foundation.
