Summer Reading Program in San Marcos (June 10)
The Summer Reading Program at the San Marcos Public Library will kick off the season with Circus Chicken Dog. Performing pooches will juggle, unicycle and spin on a rope. 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The “toughest canoe (and kayak) race” will begin at the head of the San Marcos River at Aquarena Springs at 9 a.m.
