Sisters Ashley Gayle (left) and Cheyenne Morgan will be competing in the U.S. Track and Field (USATF) Junior Olympic National Championships July 26-31 in Wichita, Kansas. Entry for the National Championships is based on performances at preliminary and Regional levels. Gayle qualified in the 3000-meter run, while Morgan will compete in the 800-meter dash. Many American Olympians began their careers at the USATF Junior Olympics, including Maurice Green, Allyson Felix, Bryan Clay and Deena Castor. Gayle will be a junior next school year and Morgan will be a freshman. Both girls will attend Lehman High School.
