The New Year is just around the corner and brings with it one of the most anticipated events for the Kyle area and the Central Texas business community. On February 11, 2012, we will be celebrating the many successes that 2011 brought the Kyle Area Chamber at our 10th anniversary Awards Gala, taking place at the new Stone Hall venue at Texas Old Town. If you have not seen this new facility, you are in for an incredible treat. This location truly offers a great venue for us to reflect on and celebrate our many accomplishments. This year we will be recognizing the presidents of the Kyle Area Chamber for the past ten years. These leaders have provided the foundation that has helped us create a professional business organization that works to promote, empower and be a valuable resource to the business community and chamber members; and to position our community as a tourism location and ideal place to live.
The Live Auction and Silent Auction for the Awards Gala are off to a great start. Some of the highlights to our auction are a private catered dinner from an area restaurant for 10 on-board a houseboat on Canyon Lake (donated by Premier Cuts salon), and much more. At the Gala, we will speak about why becoming a member of the Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce makes great business sense and how it is a vital part of supporting the Kyle community and making it a better place for all. Finally we could not have had the many successes without the support of the business community, organizations, individual members and the many other surrounding community business and tourism organizations, thank you!
January 1 is the annual Kyle Polar Bear Splash. Bring the family out for this free event at the Kyle Pool where light refreshments will be served beginning at 1 p.m. You can also join the exclusive Polar Bear Club for just $20 and receive an Official 2012 Polar Bear Club long sleeve t-shirt, your name on an official Polar Bear Club plaque at the PARD office, and a ticket for a door prize.
