Check it out

The Buda Library is jam-packed with folks and fun activities for all ages. If you haven’t stopped in recently, it’s worth a visit.
When I dropped by this afternoon to return one stack of books and check out some others, a little girl in front of me turned in her second, third and fourth reading logs for the summer reading program. When I congratulated her on such success, she replied, “Oh, wow. I’m nearly through with number five.”
The library conference room was filled with even more third-through-fifth graders learning about ancient civilizations. Explore the library’s website (and p.4C) for dates and times of events planned for every day of the week.
Kudos to the library staff for inspiring such intensive fun filled summer learning.
And if you missed the author’s visit last Saturday, the Friends of the Library hosted an event targeting a more adult audience. David Hilton’s book, “The Kings of Colorado”, is a riveting, suspenseful novel that is not for the faint of heart. Check it out.
Lemonade and libraries. Hammocks and hardbacks. The perfect summer combinations.
