Senior Master Sergeant Oscar R. Fowler, USAF ( Ret.) of Buda, Texas, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2010, at the age of 75. He was born August 27, 1934, in Little River, South Carolina to Bruce and Blanchie (Hewitt) Parnell.
His parents, a son, Oscar R. Fowler, Jr. and a brother, Albert Fowler preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Evans) Fowler of Buda; his daughters, Donna Eady and husband, Tommy of Kyle, and Marilyn Eady and husband, Wally of Buda; brothers, Bruce Parnell Fowler and wife, Irene, and Kenneth L. Todd and wife, Jenean; sisters, Carol Holleman and husband, Marion, and Jane Savage and husband, Jimmie, and sister-in-law, Virginia Fowler; grandchildren, Kristina, Amber, Billy and Keli. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends at Pennington Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, May 26, 2010. Graveside Services will be conducted at 8:45 a.m., Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas, with military honors.
