Students act out at marathon play festival

Eleanore Jeanette Wielunski, 74, of Manchaca died Saturday, May 15, 2010. She was born in Watford City, ND on February 6, 1936. She graduated from Woodland High School in 1954. Arts & Cook employed her as an Escrow Clerk. Ellie’s life as a military wife began June 13, 1962 when she married Michael Wielunski. She was blessed with two children early on. Ellie enjoyed volunteering with Red Cross, being a member of the Officer’s Wives Club, assisting with the running of the base Thrift Shop and raising her daughters. She enjoyed time spent with her four grandchildren, reading books and watching football. Ellie loved animals and had several cats and dogs through out her life.


Eleanore is preceded in death by her parents, Hans Karlstad and Sylvia Enderud Karlstad. She is survived by husband Michael E. Wieiunski; daughter Karen and husband Charles Linam, daughter Kristine and husband Kevin Bell; four grandchildren, Christopher Bell, Joshua Bell, Patrick Linam, Erika Linam; brother Robert “Melvin” Karlstad and wife Margaret; Uncle Jerry Karlstad and wife Irene and numerous cousins in the Sacramento, CA area.


The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 19, at Harrell Funeral Home, Kyle. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 20, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Austin, followed by burial at 1:30 p.m., at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.


In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the ASPCA Special Giving, 520 8th Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10018.
