ACC, Seton leaders to headline Kyle chamber luncheon

Update: With 58 percent of the vote, Barton announced that Sumter has conceded the race.


According to early voting returns from the Hays County elections office, Pct. 2 Commissioner is leading over incumbent Liz Sumter in the Democrat primary race for Hays County Judge, 56 to 44. The winner will almost certainly face Republican Bert Cobb, who is sailing past opponent Peggy Jones with 60 percent of the early vote.


Incumbent Democrat Sheriff Tommy Ratliff leads challenger Bill Huddleston, 55 to 45.  Pct. 2 GOP Commissioner Candidate Mark Jones has a whopping 80 percent of the vote against Mike Gonzalez.
