Lady Lobos stay in soccer playoff hunt

Grace Cearley, 75, of Ridgecrest, California, passed away March 30, 2010. Grace was born on her Grandpa Waggoner’s ranch near Manchaca on November 12, 1934, to Ruth Waggoner and Leander Cearley.


She attended Buda schools in the 1940s and was a graduate of the University of Texas in Austin in 1973. She graduated from the House of Charm developing her career as a professional. This also included attending the University of Paris at the Sorbonne, obtaining a certificate in French Language. Grace followed her longtime companion, Dr. Ray Skipping, to California where she pursued a career in financial investments.


She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Julia Weed.


Grace is survived by her brother, Ralph Cearley and wife Margie of McMahan, Texas; her lifelong companion, Dr. Ray Skipping of Ridgecrest, California and numerous nieces and nephews.
