Uhland gets $20K for center improvements

As residents in district #5 of the Hays Consolidated Independent School District, we should all take the opportunity to welcome Joe Munoz to our community. Joe has served with both honor and distinction in district 2, but has since made district 5 his home. At a time when other schools tackle difficult challenges, Joe brings a proven record of service as a policy maker. As a police officer with years of service in Austin, Joe realizes the importance that we place on the safety and security of our children. As a father with children attending school in our district, he also realizes the importance of our students doing well in their studies. Through the years, Joe has been particularly attentive in ensuring that the salary schedules of our district remain competitive enough to attract and retain strong, well prepared teachers. He was also a leading voice in making sure that our buses were well equipped. We’re pleased to know that Joe has decided to remain active as a HCISD board member by seeking to represent the families of district #5.  Right now is NOT the time to rely on anyone else except individuals who are familiar with our families and have both the record and policy experience to make sound judgements. In supporting Joe, we will gain a person who is mature, level-headed, and has the experience to work collaboratively with others.  Thanks Joe for being conscientious enough to remain involved. We all look forward to you representing district # 5 in the near future.
