Video: Hays County Court at Law No. 1 Democratic Primary

by JEN BIUNDO

The Hays County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a spate of graffiti on Kyle’s east side that left nearly 20 cars, homes and businesses tagged over the weekend.

“This is the first big graffiti case we’ve had in a while,” said Hays County spokesperson Leroy Opiela.

The perpetrators spray-painted the words “spike,” “the tribe” and obscenities onto the buildings and cars on Goforth, Peaceful Valley, Victory, Summit, Cresthill Causeway and Lilac streets, near the Green Pastures subdivision.

Property owners called to report some of the graffiti, while sheriff’s deputies on patrol discovered other tagged buildings Saturday and Sunday.

Investigators say they don’t know if the graffiti is gang related.
