Jimmy Martinez, 42, of Kyle was called from his earthly bonds and escorted by the angels to be with our Father in Heaven on Wednesday, June 9, 2010. Born April 3, 1968 in San Marcos, he was a beloved husband, father, brother and uncle. He is preceded in death by parents Guadalupe Sr. and Frances Martinez. A true love of his family and friends, Jimmy will be dearly missed, but not forgotten in our hearts.
Survivors are wife of 13 years, Dami Corpus of San Marcos; sons, Michael Anthony Martinez of Lockhart, Vincent Thomas Corpus of San Marcos, Joshua Alexander Martinez of San Marcos and Zachary Elijah Martinez of San Marcos; daughter Bayli Justine Corpus of San Marcos; brothers Leon Martinez of Kyle and Guadalupe Martinez, Jr., of Kyle; sister Margie Cantu of Huntsville and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation and Recitation of Rosary was held Monday, June 14, at Los Angeles Funeral Home in San Marcos. Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, June 15, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Kyle. Rev. Father Victor Mayorga officiated. Interment followed in Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale. Serving as pallbearers were Jose Estrada, Alex Salas, Andy Ruiz, Charles Vasquez, Robert Perez, Sr., and Jonathon Hoshino.
