Thirty-two Chapa Middle School scholars were recently inducted into the campus chapter of the National Junior Honor Society, with evening ceremonies just prior to Spring Break highlighting excellence in academics and character. (Courtesy photo)
The accent was on excellence in academics, as well as in personal character traits at Chapa Middle School recently, as students, faculty, parents and families gathered at the campus to take part in annual induction ceremonies for the National Junior Honor Society.
Thirty-two new members took the NJHS oath and joined existing honor society members at the campus. Among the inductees were four new seventh grade members and 28 sixth graders.
Seventh graders new to the organization included Jesse Garcia, Jesse Perez, Rainey Ramirez and Jesse “Joseph” Rodriguez.
Sixth grade inductees included Jessica Barber, Riley Blok, Niria Cano, Vernice Carbajal, Briana Davis, Jessica Davis, Sabrina Escamilla, Andres “Andy” Garza, Kayley Green-Tooney, John Kelsey, Tenley Lehman, Ashley Lumbreras, Michelle Marx and Emily Mazanec.
Additional sixth grade inductees included Cassie McCool, Kyler McGehee, Gabriella Carla, Taylor Musselman, Nariko Nakachi, Kaitlin Powell, Katie Ramirez, Cody Richter, Cristian Rodriguez, Andrew “Drew” Rozeboom, Jonathan Sheckler, Nichola Tello and Caitlyn Zuniga.
