Toilet-stall rhetoric

Odds & Ends

by MYRTLE HEIDEMAN

Although Easter morning was a little dreary, many members of St. John Lutheran Church attended the Sun Rise service at 7 a.m. The worship service was enhanced by the choir’s beautiful hymns, thanks to JoAnn Tanzer and members of the choir. A continental breakfast followed the service.

Several Easter gatherings were reported. I am sure there were many more including a brunch for family and friends in the home of Jackie and Vickie Schawe.

James and JoAnn Holt and Daniel and Sharon Heideman were among those that attended an Easter gathering at the home of Ray and Janet Patterson. Family and friends enjoyed lunch and the egg hunt.

Danny and Beverly Kleen had a gathering of family and friends at their home near Buda. The cooks did a great job of cooking fajitas on the grill, that all enjoyed with all the side dishes. The youngsters enjoyed the egg hunt (so did the oldsters) and the games. It’s always great to have family gatherings and see and hear of the young families’ lives.

Steve and Sandra Jones of Buda also had a family gathering at their home. Enjoying the Easter lunch, egg hunt and visiting were Dolores Jones, Brock and Kim Jones and family, Mike and Dawn Jones and family, Scott Hagedorn, Erwin and Bobby Hagedorn and Jake Hohertz.

Gladys Sorrells spent the Easter Day with her family, Tim, Debbie and family.
