STAFF REPORTS

BRADLEY

A 43-year-old San Marcos man was sentenced to 50 years in prison for possessing 173 grams of crack cocaine with the intent to deliver, the Hays County District Attorney’s Office said Tuesday.

Kevin Bradley, who had five prior convictions for drug possession, pled guilty to the first-degree felony offense in exchange for the 50-year sentence, according to the DA’s office.

On Jan. 8, 2008, Bradley was pulled over in a traffic stop, where he was found to be in possession of a significant amount of crack cocaine, officials say.

Detectives with the Hays County Narcotics Task Force then obtained a search warrant for Bradley’s San Marcos residence and discovered several more ounces of the drug. Authorities suspected that Bradley and several associates were selling the cocaine in San Marcos and Luling, officials say.

In 2007, Bradley was paroled from prison after serving 3 years of a 17-year sentence.
